This sketch map of  SE Kent and the NE corner of East Sussex shows only positional reference points. Examination of the OS maps, from which ultimately it is derived, show two major features:
  1) much of the area is below the level of high tides.
  2) Dungeness Power Stations have few supply lines. A railtrack for the removal of its nuclear waste lies across Denge and Walland Marshes. A road from New Romney runs directly along the coast. Another crosses Denge Marsh to Lydd.
