DODEWAARD NUCLEAR POWER STATION HOLLAND

14th December 2000
Spent fuel from the now closed power station is sent to Sellafield UK for reprocessing causing radioactive pollution to the ground, sea and air and is the most likely cause of leukaemia clusters in the nearby town of Seascale.

In order to stop a spent fuel shipment leaving the plant KARE attempts to blockade a bridge which is the only access to Dodewaard nuclear power station.
Unfortunately it is thwarted by road blocks and a massive police presence never seen before.
Two men, however, managed to get our banner

KARE banner just 25m from the bridge

just 25m from bridge.
