Reply for Barrie Botley: I prefer an holistic approach instead of specific pledges. It is no consolation to discover the car which has run your child down runs on unleaded. For some the war in Iraq was about oil, which globally is running out, therefore anyone who feels that the environment is a political side-show is deluding themselves. I prefer though to leave it to the Pressure Groups to educate and guide all of us and would expect everyone to play their part in improving our environment. M G Cussens
