PLUTONIUM- MOX ACTION 17th April 1995
Easter Monday 7am. 200 people invade the front gates to Sellafield.
Meanwhile several teams of activists entered the site from the seaward side up the river Calder.One team gained access to the main building whilst another guarded the entrance, a team of climbers scaled the building and abseiled over the side. A fourth team locked on to rail lines in the site. One team 'holed up' somewhere on site and were still there at the end of the day when BNFL had claimed that all protesters were off site and it was now secure! They emerged the following day.
